Bridlewood is a mix of executive homes, “starter homes”, condos and rowhouses. Single family detached homes predominate in this planned neighbourhood. The variety of real estate available makes Bridlewood residential real estate affordable for a wide range of budgets. Homes can nudge the $700,000 mark for an upscale executive or hover in the mid $100,000s for a unit in the lowrise apartment buildings.
Bridlewood is a planned community, with single family homes and multifamily homes alike being constructed to harmonize with each other and the neighbourhood layout. The streets are curving and many end in cul-de-sacs.
AMENITIES:
As the name may suggest, Bridlewood real estate is very close to the Spruce Meadows Stables, a world-reknowned stable with a focus on show jumping. Spruce Meadows hosts major tournamemts, breeds Hannoverian horses and has lately launched ‘Eyes on the Wetlands’, a program that educates people about wetlands. Spruce Meadows has been owned and operated by the Southern family since the 1970s.
Fish Creek Provincial Park is close by as well as numerous parks featuring sports fields and playground equipment. Pathways wind through the neighbourhood, connecting Bridlewood with nearby neighbourhoods and the Calgary system of bicycle lanes and pedestrian pathways.
Bridlewood is 20 km from Calgary’s downtown and is served by a number of shopping centres. Calgary Transit operates bus service to and from the neighbourhood. Easy access via car can be had by travelling along Spruce Meadows Trail SW and turning onto MacLeod Trail, which heads right into the city centre.
HISTORY
Bridlewood is a very recent addition to Calgary’s landscape, but is already making a name for itself as a peaceful neighbourhood to live in.
