Oh, summer, how we’ve missed you! While it very much still feels like spring, it’s undeniable that the warmer months are on their way. So what will you do to make the most of summer? When June 20th rolls around, what’s going to be on your summer to-do list? Whether it’s mountain biking, hiking, rafting down the Bow, or simply soaking up some sun on your favourite patio, there’s no shortage of things to do in and around Calgary.

Gardening in Calgary isn’t always an easy task. After all, our weather can be harsh – stiflingly hot one day, snow the next – you need to make sure that you’re planting the right things (in the right places!).
First and foremost, it’s important for you to know that there are different plant hardiness zones in Calgary (due to microclimates, wind protection, sun exposure, etc.); but, for the most part the city falls in 3A. This will affect what plant varieties you intend to grow, and where you grow them.
