September sure has been good to us, don’t you think? Above average temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and colourful leaves that have lingered longer than usual… it’s made up for the late start to summer.

Use the good weather to your advantage and do some much-needed fall gardening; here’s how:
1. Pick your produce: pick anything edible that is remaining in your garden; the frost is going to begin soon and will ruin most remaining fruits and vegetables. Store items that are not completely ripened, like tomatoes, in a paper bag until ripe.
2. Continue watering: just because it’s autumn and the plants are beginning to turn brown, it doesn’t mean they’re dead; continue to water them right until the ground is frozen. This will…
