West of Meadowlark Park, Chinook Centre
North of Mayfair neighbourhood
South of Calgary Golf and Country Club

The homes in Bel-Aire start just below $1,000,000 and top out at over $10,000,000.  Most hover in between these numbers. Ample lots are the norm, some backing onto the Calgary Golf and Country Club, some backing onto the Glenmore Reservoir.

Home styles vary, but the heavy amount of construction in the 1960s has left Bel-Aire with a distinct upscale “retro” flair.  Mid-Century Modern homes are by far the most common.  Open floor plans and a generous scale make these houses ideal for the family who likes to entertain.  Some Bel-Aire homes have been renovated to modern “green” standards, making them energy efficient and low impact.

Bel Aire Estates is an exclusive community developed by Morris Ted Riback in 1959.  Featuring homes with beautiful views of the Elbow Valley and Rocky Mountains, property here can fetch some of the highest prices in the neighbourhood.

Bel-Aire is within easy walking distance to plenty of green space.  The Glenmore Reservoir forms its eastern boundary and provides trails, water sports in the summer and snow sports in the winter.  Heritage Park, Lincoln Park and Calgary Golf and Country Club are only a short distance from the homes in Bel-Aire.

Bel-Aire homes are close to the Chinook Centre, the largest enclosed shopping centre in Calgary.  It is only 15 minutes to Downtown Calgary via MacLeod Trail.  Dining is readily available in Calgary’s downtown and along MacLeod Trail.

Bel-Aire shares a community association with its southern neighbour, Mayfair.

Bel-Aire was annexed in 1954, but the majority of development came in the 1960s.  Today, Bel-Aire retains some of the 60s flair, albeit with modern renovations that make its homes some of the most valuable in Calgary.
